Martin graduated from the University of Southampton in 2001 with an Honours degree in Economics. He joined Barclays in 2003 as a Mortgage Adviser before becoming a Financial Adviser with Barclays Wealth in 2006.
Whilst at Barclays, Martin was introduced to Peter Neri through a mutual acquaintance in the legal profession. Over the following years, and a number of lunch meetings, Peter acted as an unofficial mentor providing advice on the best way to further a career as a financial adviser.
In May 2011, following the retirement of Ashley Errington, the time was right for Martin to join PMN as a fully qualified Financial Adviser. Martin initially worked alongside Peter and Mark and has since taken on the primary responsibility for a number of clients. Martin has continued to complete professional qualifications and he became a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Financial Planning Society in June 2015. He has a particular interest in investment planning and joined PMN’s Investment Strategy Team in 2016.
Martin is married to Tina who hails from North Carolina in the USA. They have two young children, Jasper and Alice who are coping remarkably well with the challenge of being raised in a bilingual household. On the odd occasion that he is not required to take his children to a birthday party or mow the lawn, Martin can be found either on the golf course, the cricket pitch or following the trials and tribulations of Portsmouth Football Club (FA Cup winners 2008!)
